Meet the Founder
Howard Sanders | Founder of Cheese Apparel
I'm just a regular guy from the community who’s always had a heart for people. Whether I’m coaching basketball, feeding the homeless, or giving away clothes, I’ve always believed in showing love through action—not just words.
Cheese Apparel started as a joke. One day, me and some close friends were chilling, and one of them called me “Cheddar Bob.” We laughed, but the name stuck—and that playful moment turned into something much bigger. That’s when I created my first design, “CHEDDAR”, which stands for Create Harmony Every Day Doing Acts of Respect.
What started off as something fun turned into a brand with a purpose.
I didn’t want to just make clothes—I wanted to create something that brought people together. Something that represented unity, culture, and respect. That’s why Cheese stands for Change How Everyone Everywhere See Each Other.
Through this brand, I’ve been able to give back to the same communities that raised me. From organizing food drives and clothing giveaways to mentoring youth through basketball, it’s all connected. The clothes are just the beginning. This is about impact.
I’m not trying to be famous—I’m just trying to make a difference and bring people together one act, one conversation, and one shirt at a time.
